Hey guys. I think it was around 9 pm and my steelfish that I just got recently, the time was wrong. So, I think (I don't remember fully) if I changed the date or just moved the hands of the watch to set the correct time. I may have moved the hands backwards as well...did I really mess up my watch. So far it is changing the date alright. 1)Anyway to check if I truly did mess the date thing up? I am really worried about this : when I pulled the crown out all the way a couple of times, the minute hand kept moving but I could move the hour hands. Then i tried again by pushing the crown in, and pulled it out all the way and then the seconds hand stopped... 2)Did I just not pull the crown out fully the first time? I think that is what I did now looking back but i am still worried. When I pulled the crown out relatively fast, that was when the seconds continued moving and I could move the minute and hour hands... 3) Also it says not to change the date between 8pm and 3 Am...like the official time (like on my cell phone or computer clock) or when my watch is in those times? Gahh I am so paranoid. Thanks though for your advice and knowledge. I am new to this whole automatic watch thing ![]() |

Youre probably fine. If you change the time backwards while the date mechanism is engaged you will feel a lot of resistance. Enough resistance that you would probably stop turning it. |

Whew ok...well if the date still changes around 12 it should be fine right? Is there anything I can do to check whether I really did mess it up? And, have any of you ever thought you pulled the crown out all the way, but the second hand was still moving, but you could change the hour and minute hand? That happened to me... |

All that happened is that the castle gear engaged with the time change mechanism but the hack didn't fully engage - don't worry, but try not to do it too often. And I have to say, the question about changing the date between 8pm and 3am real time regardless of what the indicated time is was pretty funny - no offence meant, it made me laugh! ![]() |
