IMHO, The Bentley Motors, black face with Speed bracelet or black rubber is THE nicest looking watch on planet earth right now!

Who wants to challenge my ruling on this matter?

Well I'm a bit confused as the OP said earlier today that Breitlings were good but Rolex were great, so this seems a bit of a sudden turn around.

Is the Bentley Motors the nicest watch - not even close in my opinion. I would put literally hundreds of watches ahead of it, but most of them would be way beyond my price range.

Well said Roff I agree 100% as always there are far far nicer watches out there than the Bentley in fact in its Flying B incarnation its postivley fugly,I like the copper dial but can think of a lot nicer watches than it even in the same price band

I have to agree with the others. It is a very nice watch and I do love the bentley series, but there are nicer watches. Its all about what you prefer. I always wish I could change the hour markers to mother of pearl like the mark VI. Its all personal preference.

:huh

Rolex IS great. No question. I still think the Bentley Is the nicest "looking" watch on the planet. Yeah, the minute hand "jumps" when I press the start/stop button and my Rolex Sub IS smoother BUT, the Bentley Motors is so beautiful looking that it almost gets me misty-eyed...

Based on the few posts I've seen by the OP, I'm not putting much stock in anything.

Geez you guys are grumpy tonight. As you know, I'm pretty impressed with my new Rolex, but I do think my copper Motors is the best looking watch I've seen (with a remotely attainable price tag) and I am very proud to own it after lusting after it since I saw it in Venice. So stop picking on my grail :nana:

Variety is the spice of life. :lingsrock:

My opinion -
The nicest looking watch on the planet? No.
One of the nicest looking Breitings? Yes.... hence why I own that exact model :) , although I have to insist on the bracelet for this one.

But as others have said, it'd be boring if we all liked the same stuff.

Well, it’s certainly up there, although the contrasting subdials give the GT the edge IMHO.

The Motors has been a tremendous success for Breitling – which is interesting because the case design is essentially a blinged and scooped version of the big case Navis from the seventies…which compared to the Hueur’s of the day didn’t sell that well. Now, I’ll be damned if the Motor’s doesn’t kick the Grand Carrera’s butt!

There is a lot to like about the Motors (and the GT) – the way the light plays on the contoured index markers, the geared bezel, the short lugs and the way they fit the wrist, did I mention the geared bezel? The slide rule is a Breitling design icon and the way they have incorporated it and updated it into a true luxury watch is very cool.

The round Bentlies have that mechanical techy vibe, yet look flash at the same time. Few other watches do that, and those that do, like some of the JLCs (there’s a world time alarm with a red push-piece that I have to stay away from lest it induces a heavy credit card abuse session) cost twice as much. Sure, the price may be justified due to the in-house movement, but really, the ETA derived movement in the Motors is the product of a lot of R&D and is state of the art. As for the quality of the case and dial – the Motors is of equal quality to anything costing twice as much.

Absolutely – and what a bracelet. There are a lot of great chronos out there, but few other companies can match Breitling in the bracelet department…although the clasps could be a nicer machined chunk with buttons.

While the Bentley's are nice, it is just not my cup of tea. I take more enjoyment in the Emergency, Blackbird and Super Avenger. Everyone is different.
