Post subject:  Very interesting dial situation

In my stores, I have one single Superocean Heritage 46, with a black dial, where the words "Swiss Made" are printed at the six. This is also the fact on brandnew models like the B01 or a Montbrillant with a new dial variant. All other SOH don't have the "Swiss Made" note on the dial. Also in the catalog and the new book, there is no picture with it.
First thing was to check if the watch has been exchanged against a fake, but the numbers still match the chronometer certificate. No satisfying answer from my agent.

Has anyone got an SOH with a "Swiss Made" mark at the 6?

Funny you mention this, my A series Rolex Sub had only the word SUISSE printed at the six o'clock (it normally says SUISSE MADE). I always had a slight doubt that it just might be a "fake" but, like your watch, all the papers checked out.
The AD had absolutely NO idea so I had it sent to Rolex Service...came back 100% Genuine.

Maybe the latest SOH have the SUISSE MADE... :?:

Thanks for the feedback, I found out, that all the new models pictured in the Runway 09 (except the Skyracer Raven) have the note swiss made. The limited edition SOHC does not have it. So I assume, that with some date last year, they have decided to change it, and the dials ordered before that date are without, and the ones ordered later are with the swiss made statement.

I wonder how much they paid a design consultant to come up with the brilliant concept that buyers like seeing the words Swiss Made on the dial?

Maybe a response to that myth that will never die that they don't say Swiss Made because a lot of parts are made in China.

I guess they decided that the easiest thing was just to chuck it on there.

Typical Breitling. A super minor change like this just made my "older" SOH outdated :(

I must admit, that when I see a swiss watch without the "swiss made" on the dial, I get suspicious too. After all, "swiss made" is alike a badge of honour, and when its not there it makes me think there was a good reason (or legal reason) to omit it.

I don't see it on either my Airwolf or my Chronomat.

My Skyracer says it on the back... well it says "maunfancture en suisse". But the SOHC makes no reference to swiss anywhere on the watch, front or back. Very odd IMHO.

My Deepsea, Doxa, Speedy has it on the dial.

Its always been curious as to why they never put it on before, but apparently theyve started putting it on now. Ill guarantee if you check the manufacture date between the lugs that the swiss made one will be newer than the rest without the inscription.
