Hi guys, Im thinking of buying a leather strap for my SA. My local shopping center can get them for £100 with the pin deployment. Crocos are like £400/500 or leather with buckle for £200 Anyone know a reptuable place to buy the leather straps from cheaper than the above or is this the going rate? Want a leather one as the Stainless Steel Pro will get sctratched too much hence i dont wear it too often, but i want to wear my watch so opting for a leather strap ![]() Any ideas? |

You see them on eBay sometimes, but there are also a lot of fakses, but grey market doesn't have good pricing on straps. You can try a WTB ad here, but you are likely looking at an AD otherwise. I assume you mean the tang when you say pin deployment. |

Try panatime they do have a plethora of straps, leather, rubber, synthetic, you name it, and they are great to deal with. Cheers! |

Greetings sufcdan.. I can vouch for them. I've bought about 5 straps from them for my panerai. Descent strap for about $40 bucks. They are based out of NYC and now have a showroom. I usually received my straps in about 2-3 days after ordering. Their popular straps tend to sell out quickly. Straps are very thick and comfy too. I also love the heavy stitching. Panatime also offers many colors and textures. The buckles are top quality especially the sewn in ones...I always get compliments on my strap when I walk into an AD. Now of course MICAH STRAPS or TOSHI STRAP are somewhat better (IMO) but again, for $40 you can't beat it. I have'nt purchased a 22mm or a croc strap for a Breitling so I can't speak on it....anything is cheaper than OEM-panatime is worth a shot. |

I wouldn't worry about the credibility of his product, I just don't agree with his business ethics. I've PM'd you. |

I think sometimes, some people take the NY attitude in a different context, but that is why you have many places to choose from. I'll vouch for them, and no, I am not or live in NY either, my experiences were great with them. Just my 2 cents!! ![]() ![]() |

Otherwise you have www.watchbandcenter.com. I have used them and have no complaints. Of course, I'd prefer ABP (www.abp-paris.com) but they're not really on the cheap side. |

Given that you don't know what the circumstances are, you are making some huge assumptions. It was more than attitude. DON straps which I will tell you about, that was attitude. DON is supposed to have a great quality affordable 24mm panerai strap... the time I talked with him was when he contacted me through Panerai Source, and he was very sarcastic about how he was not listed in the strapmakers list, but all these others that were "made fun of" on the forums were listed. He kind of rubbed me the wrong way, and had that i-can't-believe-you-havent-heard-of-me attitude. He bragged about how he invented the aftermarket strap trend for Panerai and that he found it "amusing" that he was not listed. Then he said that he really didn't care if I listed him or not. This is attitude. What happened with Panatime, was not attitude. At any rate, DON's straps are supposedly the some of the best budget straps if you ask any one on Risti. Here are some other of my experiences... I've purchased from watchbandcentre.. they seem fine. I ordered, and they arrived and were good. The Watch Boys are pretty good for Panerai, IWC and Breitling style straps.. Kurt is easy to deal with and the strap is made well. |

I get Bob straps. Based in Germany and has an eBay store. 100% feedback and almost 8000 sales. No white python but a 24mm ivory alligator strap is about £20 delivered to the UK. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOB-ALLIGATOR-STRAP-FOR-BREITLING-IVORA-24-MM-NEW_W0QQitemZ300289186847QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item45eaa15c1f&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262 |
