I've been looking at the all white navitimer olympus for a few months, since it is a very unique, sophisticated piece. my only concern is that it is too 'big'. since all the pics I see are extreme close-ups, I can't get a sense of its size. to those who own it or have seen it, is it a good size which is subtle, and classy? It seems the white edge of the dial makes it appear bigger. there is also the windrider 1461 which I have found for the same price, but with the opposite problem of maybe being too small.

Both the Navitimer Olympus and the more recent Montbrillant Olympus are only just a touch over 42mm, fairly small by modern standards so I don't think that you'll find it too big.

Not sure what you meand by the Windrider 1461 - there was a Navitimer 1461, just half a mm smaller than the Olympus.

The original Olympus, and in my opinion one of the most beautiful Navitimer pieces ever. It is 43mm in size but wears bigger in the all silver model. The newer model which is 42.1mm wears a lot smaller due to it's banded dial.

Here's a wrist shot for you, I'm not a small chap and my wrist size is about 7.5"

I don't think the Olympus would ever look too big for anyone and personally if it's the same version as mine, snap it up, they are becoming very rare!

I purchased the Montbrillant Olympus 4 days ago and I too have a wrist size at about a 7.5-7.75 and also find it to be a bit small for today’s standard but not to small to the point that it looks like I am wearing my wife’s watch for the day. This may be partially due to the color that I have, which is the blue faced version of the all white face. IMO I think the all white face is a much cleaner look than all others and also gives the appearance of being larger than what it actually is. Don’t get me wrong I would not trade my version for any other. I have a pension for blue faced watches and have been looking at this watch for 3 years and my heart has always steered me towards the blue face over all the others. Knowing that ledge ability would be an issue due to the contrasting blue dial, but this was the watch that I fell in love with and was willing to accept the neg. At the same time I feel that the blue face version goes with anything I wear. From jeans, to any color suite I own the contrast of the blue and white compliments the outfit well. I would also have to agree with Stefan, the original Navitimer Olympus is the most beautiful Navitimer of them all especially the all white version.
