Is there a tiny piece of crystal covering the lume on the 12 o'clock rider tab? Mine show's a glare when the light hits it right. Is it a little piece of sapphire crystal? Looks like a really nice touch, and must obviously protect the raw lume material.

I think Chance means the general model, as for most of the Aeromarine models and other ones as well.

I think you're right, because I too see a small glare in certain angles. If it's not a sapphire crystal, it must be a few layers of high-gloss lacquer since the lume material itself is rather matte.

For those of us not in the know, what's a lume?

The luminiscent material is covered by a tiny saphire crystal in all Breitling watches. This is normally not the case in fakes, but You cannot see that on a picture.
By the way, the material used in Breitling is called Superluminova (as far as I know)

That's cool! Did not know that it was covered by a tiny sapphire crystal. I did notice that older Breitlings do not have the shiny surface on the Bezel Lume. They are matte looking, at least the ones I have owned were.

Hey look at that! I have my Chrono Evo on and I just took a look, at a certine angle you can get some reflection, it seems that the chrystal is even AR coated since it is so hard to see! Now that is cool!

Good eye Chance!!
