Press release today...

Using the specific features of the iPhone 3.0 version, Breitling offers the Chronomat B01 application for iPhone and iPod touch, designed to provide a functional and detailed presentation of its latest chronograph.

A precise description, technical data, a portfolio, a video and 360° views give an extremely clear idea of the exceptional nature of the new Chronomat B01.

The application is also equipped with a unique configurator serving to visualize hundreds of possible customized versions of the model.

The point-of-sale location-tracking system enables all devotees of mechanical chronographs to locate the nearest authorized Breitling retailers.

Almost makes me want to get one!

I dunno, I thinkn this is a complete waste of time.

Hey Breitling,

How about less time on worthless things and concentrate on retaining the die hard fan, like a revamped B01 with a non Buck Rogers bezel. I, for one, took the your brand off my list for my next purchase because of the ugly B01 bezel.

I got the Breitling e-mail about it today - given that they only send about one e-mail every 3 or 4 months it hardly seems like a big deal.

The app is pretty lame. Slow on my 3GS, and it doesn't really do much. At least the Bell and Ross app has a working watch that you can customize.

The more I play with it, the worse it seems. It doesn't seem to have any data in it, it goes back to the network to fetch everything. This from the same morons who covered their site in an ugly uncrawlable flash app.

I think its a cool App. I like how you can choose from all of the different configurations and email them to someone. The dealer locator is also pretty neat.

It was free after all so not hurt in trying it out and deleting it afterwards.

Exactly my thoughts... It didn't cost anything, and is a little gimmicky, but there we go. It's very similar to the Bell & Ross one that you can get.. Wish they would make it so that all models could be modeled, like an iPhone version of the Breitling.jp website.... now that would be handy!
