What is the purpose of the bezel on a SA? How do you use it?

What is the purpose of the bezel on a SA? How do you use it?

It's for measuring elapsed time. Set the bezel to current time and then the hands will show elapsed time from that starting point until whenever you check again. Original concept was for diving to give an indication of time underwater. |
