I finally had the chance to see the B01 in person today. It had the bronze face on SS bracelet. I was expecting / hoping to have a strong dislike. I am delighted to say, it looked very, very good. The numbers on the bezel did not stand out as much as I would have thought. Also, it seemed the hands and batons had tritium instead of the standard lume. I was offered the chance to see it in the dark, but did not to ensure I did not leave the store with it. The size and weight made for a comfortable fit. It also did not seem too flashy. I guess seeing it in person is the only way to make a decision.

I also saw the new Air Wolf Raven. This too looks much better in person.

As for the new Diver Pro II, I bought one.

It amazes me how different everyone is! :)

You and I are complete opposites Rebel! You liked the B01 in person ; I didn't. You thought the Airwolf Raven looks better in person ; I don't. You bought a Diver Pro II ; I won't be.

But then it'd be a boring wolrd if we all liked the same things woudn't it!

I'm looking forward to seeing a B01 in person. I wouldn't say I really like the pictures I've seen, but I have been surprised at some of the negative reaction – particularly concerning the bezel font, which I quite like.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the B01 is seen as a bit of a trend setter in a few years time…

Apparently the sales of the Breitling 1806 (the big case Chrono-matic Navitimers) weren’t overly flash back in the 70’s. Now Breitling offers several modern interpretations of this model (which I understand are disliked by some on this forum) – but just look at the success of the Bentley Motors, 6.75 & GT over the last few years! There’s a strong lineage back to the 1806 with these models.

Gotta say I agree with Rebel on this one. I've seen the B01's and they are sweet. It's hard when a brand stray's from their traditional look, but in this case I personally think it's a sharp timepiece. As far as the Raven goes, it's awesome and very masculine... The rubber over stainless and polished numbers really stand out!

I did not ask. I think the sticker had $7,600 USD or so.

I personally loved the photos of the watch but was a bit disappointed in person. Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing it in person, it's just the huge numbers on the bezel really drew my attention and I personally didn't find it very appealing.

I saw a few B01s in person a few weeks ago. I agree it is much better in person than in the pictures, because both the "square" in the middle of the dial and the bezel numbers are much less pronounced. I like the new dial a lot, actually. It really ups the ante in quality look and fine detail that make the Chronomat so appealing. The bezel still didn't do it for me, though. I would not call it hideous (definitely not as bad as in pictures), but it's just not quite right. I think a more modest evolution of the current Chronomat's bezel would have been perfect.

this watch is aimed at the young flash type of person (its very pretty) but then again i'm a middle aged dad who thinks watches were made to do a job...and look good of course, but this one is just too pretty for me and that shiny bezel?

Well I better grab one in the next two years before I turn 40!

Actually... owning a blackbird If I'm going to go higher in price I'll probably get a Bentley.

PS... I still plan to be a young flash type for many years to come! :uplaugh: :lingsrock:

Rebel - any chance of some photos of the Diver Pro II? Haven't seen one in person and would really like to see how it compares to the Diver Pro.

Cheers,
