I'm excited. I've drooled over Breitlings for about 20 years now ever since I saw one during flight school. I'm out, I don't fly anymore but I still appreciate a good watch. A couple months ago I started looking in earnest about getting one. I've seen a lot of fakes and seen some really good fakes as well so I paid the premium and bought from an AD. I have to get a used one but I really don't mind that a bit. The person who had it had tiny wrists, though, and they've got a couple links on order to size it properly. They're supposed to be in today. I've been chomping at the bit for almost a week, waiting ![]() I really want a headwind but I'm not seeing too many of those out there. That and I would probably have to sell a banjo to be able to afford it. Anyway, thanks for the place to share my obsession with others of the same bent ![]() |

I'm seeing that there are a lot who do not wear these as daily watches. I'm getting this one specifically as a daily watch ![]() waiting on the call about the links now. |

I wear all my watches daily, but since i have several, they get worn about 5 times a month each, give or take a day. Congrats on the purchase. Is it a Colt II with the larger case or the smaller Colt I? I also remember getting my first Ling.. it was such an amazing feeling. |

Model A74350 I've read about the breakdown of those numbers but I cannot remember offhand. Now to work on the headwind for a rotation! |

Here's one that I got a kick out of. I was almost joking when I said, "How much would you give me for a trade in?" I wear a Krug-Baumen now, a whole lot less expensive but looks nice. The lady comes back from the manager and starts talking in the neighbourhood of 20%. COOL! That's more than I spent on two of these watches. After reading the threads here, I realize they have more or less MSRP listed on the watches and they can afford the 20% but it was a good way to do it, in my opinion. Made me feel good, they still get a profit and we're both happy. This being a used watch, it was even more interesting that they did it for this watch as well. The numbers she was giving me on the new ones were more like 30% for mine as a trade. Oh, if anyone's really curious, I got it for $900 with a three year "you can drive over it and we'll fix it" warranty. |

Not bad for an SQ Colt with that kind of warranty from a dealer. I suggest you do just that (drive over it) in just under 3 years.. get a free battery replacement and service ![]() |
