Guys, Can you advise me on this model of the emergency....I'm thinking its the early model from the dial. Thinking about doing a deal on it for about $2,300. It was just serviced by Breitling 6 months ago and comes with everything....box, paperwork, tester , complete. Give me your thoughts as this will be my first emergency in my collection. Thank you all!

Comparing the pics we have on the site I would say you are correct. 1995-2001 model (quartz ).

A review of completed listings on the bay shows three recent sales ranging from ~$2100.00- $2350.00
(Not sure if all those were the quartz. Maybe some superquartz, but a cursory look appeared to be all this model.)

Edit: Two sold were 56321's and one was a 56121 (this model).

If the seller has full paperwork, you can check the date of manufacture from him but the MHz on the dial means it's not one of the first batch produced as they had MHZ on the dial.

Breitling introduced the Emergency in 1995 under the reference #56121. This was a non cosc watch and as Sharky said the original dial sported the megahertz as MH(Z) and later changed this to MH(z) when the ref #changed to 56121.1. Around this time Breitling began COSC testing of all of it's watches the Emergency included. The ref # then became, of course, 56321. Still a quartz movement however.

The watch remained essentially unchanged until 2002 when the dial was changed to a different number font (larger) and the words "Chronometre Emergency" were added. The movement changed from the caliber 56 used in the earlier model to the caliber 76 utilizing the SQ technology. The ref # on these watches is 76321 but there is also a 76021 as well (which I can't quite figure out why). :) .
