I just picked up an older B-2 with Black Dial and stick markers with a matching black 24 hr UTC. I was just wondering what everyone with the UTC's sets there's to. I guess you can set it for a specific second time zone or just set it as a military time to your time zone right...
Just wondering what the tendency was...
It's a little smaller than I'm used to wearing, but the UTC makes it seem a little more substantial...and it's a great looking combo. I wish they still made this style UTC for the larger current models...
I will try and post up some photos later...
Chris :lingsrock:

Thanks SJ ! And thanks for the confirmation help as always.

Alan,
Why GMT ?
I've never seen one on a new brushed BB before. Very sweet!
Did you have to get the UTC brushed yourself?
And the UTC end link... That's new to me too.
Which UTC do you have to use for the BB bracelet? Would the one I have for the B -2 work ?
Thanks for sharing!

Well, GMT because I am an Englishman and it all started here (or indeed there).

This one is one of the old new BBs of 06

The BB+ is as far as I know a LE 1/1. I had it brushed by our friend Andrew Michaels (taunted by my mate Ron).

The UTC and Pilots came from a Chrono Evolution.

The UTC is A70177 and the Bracelet is 359A.

The one from your B2....sorry, no.

Alan M....

Please NO more pictures of your UTC's...They're driving me crazy...they are so gorgeous :lingsrock:
I might actually start wearing my old Chronomat again, bullet/UTC; I might have to bring her out of retirement;
she's cool but tiny :(
The SUB is no longer in my collection...

Alan,

I just cant help it. I have to make one more comment....

That UTC module makes your Blackbird look stunning....

I would love to get my hands on that piece :lingsrock:

BTW is that a real cell phone under the Bird? If so, get rid of it; it'll screw up your Breitling 44 movement

Im just looking after the Bird because one day it might be mine 8)

I have 3 B's with UTC modules,
I just set them to the same time as the main watch.
I'm not a pilot so I don't care what time it is in other places.

I just like the way they look :lingsrock:

My "UTC" (co-pilot) is set to... UTC. (what else?)

As a pilot, it's useful for me to always reference UTC or "Zulu" time, used for both aviation and travel. For example, I'm currently on a trip where I'm literally flying around the world, in a different place every night. Instead of us always trying to figure out what local time is, and run our timing on that where everybody's scattered, we just stay on UTC.

The other functions of the co-pilot are also useful to have in UTC. Using the takeoff and landing chrono functions, I can input those directly into our logs in "Z" time.

Sometimes, when I travel it's useful to display 3 different time zones--the time back at my home, so I can judge if/when to call back and talk to the work or family, the local time where I'm at to judge when shops and food is open, and UTC time for standardized flying. I keep my Airwolf primary time on my home station time on the analog hands, display local time on the Time 2 time zone digitally, and always keep the co-pilot on UTC.
