Dropped my 1903 into the Breitling service centre in Sydney on Friday. After 6 months of the watch functioning well outside COSC specifications, it had to be done. Would've done it sooner had I been in Sydney sooner. Out here we don't have the luxury of a service centre in each major city/state which makes even a regulation difficult. They're going to check the oils, movement etc to see what the problem is. It might be as simpe as a regulation but could easily be more. The watch is a few years old afterall. Importantly it's all under warranty which is nice. I feel naked though without it's reassuring presence. Depressingly I have to go back to my citizen (nothing wrong with Citizen, just not Breitling  ) but all good :D I'm very glad it's finally being done.

On another note, prices have certainly increased drastically over the last year. I know this topic has been bandied about a lot lately but I hadn't realised quite how much. I used my time well over the weekend to visit a few AD's in Sydney and I noticed that the Navitimer range has increased nearly 50% within a year  Perhaps that's natural?

Sadly there were no B01's to view, the 1st we can expect arrive in October; was keen to see it in person.

The 1903 is from late 2003 / 2004 - not that much older.

Imagine how much more naked you would feel if you had to do the same thing with a SA instead of the 1903 ?

After just over one week I have my 1903 back, good as new. Turns out it did require an overhaul as the oils had dried out after 5 years on the shelf so to speak (great call Roff :D ) They opened it up and had a good look before lubricating and putting back together. Will be interesting to see how it performs over the next few weeks as it settles in. I'm glad it's had an overhaul under warranty - should be right for the next 5 years all going well :D

Thanks for everyone who provided great advice. Another happy Breitling customer!

Only 1 week? Amazing. Maybe we should send our watches to the Sydney Service Center for quick results

It may not sound like much Spartan and for those of you in the North America and Europe a week is probably laughable but for us out here that's a good timeframe. I have no complaints whatsoever!

Then again a week may be good for you lot, I'm not sure what you expect
