I was just wondering if I may be doing damage to the crystal by cleaning it off a few times a day. I have a SOH 46, and the AR coating tends to highlight smudges and water spots, etc. So, I usually fog the crystal and wipe it off.....often just using the soft cotton shirt that I happen to be wearing.
Has anyone noticed and degradation to their crystal (even the AR coating) by wiping it off a few times/day?
Any better recommendations for cleaning?

Soft cloth (I like the microfiber cloths that come with iPhones, Tvs etc...) for smears, a little hand soap and a soft toothbrush for goop removal. Should never cause any troubles. Avoid abrasives, polishing cloths and the like on the crystal as you might get the AR scratched. :lingsrock:

My favorite? A couple of drops of water on some soft toilet paper followed by another toilet paper to dry it (circular motion)...

Works Amazing..... When I get a very stubborn drop of something, I use a Q-tip dipped in alcohol..... :D

Yeah, but at my work, they have the real cheap toilet paper, so I usually opt for my shirt. Even though cotton is also a plant product, it sure seems softer than this crappy paper here.
And, I take it that I'm not the only one who uses the "spare time" in the restroom, to admire my Ling :D

If it wasn't for my Breitling I'd get at least 2 more hours of quality work done. OOPS, gotta go, there's something on my watch.
