This is my first post here.

I am a watch enthusiast and currently own two Rolex (GMT Master IIc and Daytona). I want to buy another brand for a change and I am now leaned toward Breitling.

I don't know which model is the best one to buy or which one has better resale value. I like the Navitimer World, Cosmonaut and Montebrillant Datora.

I hope you guys can help me out.

From those 3 you mentioned, the WORLD is my favorite (Thats why I bought one  )

Its much bigger than your Rolies just nowhere near as water resistant, so be careful.

If you buy one second hand you will probably not lose anything when/if ever it comes time to sell

I wear my World on a daily basis....just love it :lingsrock:

Any of those you listed are great and you'll enjoy them a lot.

As for resale...I don't think any of those would depreciate any more than the other.

IMO and experience the Cosmo will probably end up with the lowest resale value. I think people are a little scared of the dial and that tends to make the watch appealing to a smaller number of people. I agree the World and the Datora will probably run an even race in resale.

As far as which model is best I don't think there is an answer to that. All are comparable in the manufacturing process so any perceived differences would be dependent IMO on the end user. That is - what do you like in a watch? Which features are the most appealing to you? Personally, I have both a Cosmo and a World and enjoy them both. Each has features that I enjoy. I would love to have a Datora as well but to me the dial is a bit crowded and for my aging eyes a little difficult to see.

If I were you I think I would go to my local AD and try them all on. They are all great watches and how you feel about them is the important thing.

Good luck.

It's definitely a question of taste, and I won't recommend one over another simply because it is just personal taste.

In terms of resale value then I would suggest that it is (high to low):

World
Datora
Cosmonaute

There won't be a lot in it, but the World is in line with the current trend for large watches, the Datora dial puts some people off because it is 'busy' and the Cosmonaute puts people off because of the 24 hour dial.
