Hey Guys I just picked up an Olympus but after wearing it 3 times I found I much rather wear a pilot bracelet watch like on my Chronomat. I'd like to put this up for sale but am unsure what to ask. It was purchased at an AD in Vegas 4 days ago and comes with everything. Once I get a price range I'll post it up for sale with pics thanks |

My rule of thumb is once a watch leaves the AD, it's worth list minus 40%. |

You have to remember as well that Sharky's "40% rule of thumb" is very much that - a rule of thumb. Some models will go for more than that while others will go for less. The problem with the Monty Olympus is that it's a real connoisseur's watch and as such it has a more limited market than something like an SA. It's also a pretty expensive piece so that again turns some people off. I know all about this as I had the same problem when I sold a Navitimer Olympus a year or so back. If you find the right buyer you'll sell it for good money, but you may have to be prepared to wait a long time. Otherwise you may need to drop the price a bit to secure a sale. If you go down that route, do it gradually and make sure you stick to a minimum price you'd take. It's all too easy to keep dropping and dropping, and before you know it you sell it for peanuts. |

It's a shame it's not like the one Driver8 mentions above otherwise I would have been tempted. I tried to swap my Super Avenger for the one Driver8 sold my colleague but his wife wasn't as keen on the SA so we didn't swap. Stef |

I was curious what this model looked like so I did a quick search and the first site I looked at had it listed for 46% off. Authentic Watches dot com, I believe. So take that with a grain of salt. That's a big hit to take after 3 days. Maybe you could just get a different bracelet? Michael |

One just sold on the sales corner on TZ for $3150 on a calf leather strap. I was at a Tourneau location this past weekend and they had noe that was marked down 50%. |
