Because I've finally traded in my old Tag and got myself a Chronomat Evo, I daren't wear it like I did with the Tag. It's going to have to be a special occasion only watch because I'm so happy with it I'd be devastated if it got damaged. Therefore I'm now looking for a Breitling that is suitable for everyday wear. The Superocean appeals to me and can be picked up at a reasonable price 2nd hand. I was just wondering what other people wear everyday or would recommend?

Superocean Steelfish for me.
It's brushed - so not too dressy. Good water resistance (my hands are constantly in water) and on the cheaper side of the Breitling line so if I ding it by accident I don't throw up till I bleed.

I don't have 1 yet. But if I did, I'd wear it everyday. Can't keep a beauty like that locked up. Besides, I wear a suit every day, so it'd look good on the wrist

If I wear blue, I wear my Colt GMT. Any other color and I wear the Pam 112.

I alternate between all of mine every day, but wear the Airwolf the least as its my favourite and I don't want to scratch it.

If I know I'm going to have to do timed tests at work then the Aerospace or Airwolf come in very handy :D

Thanks for the replies. I don't know how some of you dare wear some of those everyday

Still, I think I'll end up with a new Superocean very soon as my daily watch :D

I rotate all of my watches, they all see wear on a day to day basis.

When I got my first Breitling (Chrono Avenger) I thought that it would be a special occasion watch, only worn once in a while, for the same reason you are considering that route. At that time, the watch was a huge expense, far more that I'd ever paid for a watch, even more than we paid for my wife's wedding ring. I couldn't see myself wearing something that cost so much on a daily basis, the same way I'd worn $10 Casios.

My wife, however, told me that we paid big bucks for the watch so that I could enjoy it, not so it could sit in a box in a drawer. From that day, I wore the Chrono Avenger daily for about 3 years, until I started buying other watches and had to rotate its use. Sure, my watches get nicked, scratched and dinged... but they are MY nicks, scratches and dings, marks that show history and loving use, much like a well worn piece of clothing or jewelry.

Wear your watch, enjoy it, take the marks in stride. If nothing else, Breitling will make it look like new again when you have it serviced.

That's great advice mate. Yes, this is by far the most I've ever paid for a watch but you're right that I should get my money's worth. The cost is not what concerned me if I damaged it, more the fact that I would have damaged a stunning and well crafted watch (a bit sad I know). Anyways, I shall make sure I wear it as much as I can.
