which avenger skyland do you guys prefer? the ss or the blacksteel?

for the ss version, you can get it on a pro II bracelet, and its still cheaper.

the blacksteel is just glorious looking and its limited to 2,000 pieces, but does that make up for not having a viable bracelet option? and from what i understand, if you scratch or ding it there is no way to have that buffed out.

as a follow-up, do you guys prefer the subdials with the texture lines? not sure what they are called exactly. or the clean subs?

I personally would pick the SS; I mean the Black steel isn't really a very versatile timepiece, The Blacksteel looks like a watch you would only wear during a funeral.

I've gone for the SS as, nice as the blacksteel looks, the fact that it is just a surface coating (no matter how tough it is) concerns me. If you scratch it then there is no way of polishing it out. Also, the case back is not blacksteel, so that looks a little odd to me, and also the no bracelet option puts me off.

SS is always the best bet IMO.

I completeley agree with Driver8. I'd love to have the Blacksteel, under a few conditions:

# The Blacksteel should be made of a homogenous type of material - i.e. black through all the steel. Any scratch or similar could then be polished...

# It should have a bracelet in the same manner as the case.

Since these two conditions aren't met, I vote for the SS.

Definitely Stainless,

It wouldn't be as bad if it was a 2 tone deal like the way Zenith does it but all Black is just too drab. Lings need SHINE !

I'd go with SS simply because of the bracelet option.

I love the way the blacksteel looks.. it still looks kind of shiny but its still black.. not like PVD

I don't like Blacksteel, nothing about it looks appealing to me. I do love this watch in SS though. It's quite an eye catcher. I like the textured subdials over plain. Especially when the Dial itself is plain, it makes for a nice contrast.

That is an awesome watch! I told myself i wasn't going to buy another Breitling with the rider-tab bezel until i diversify my collection with a Navitimer and a Bentley, but that is awful tempting. Congrats on purchasing a beautiful watch!

Yeah, beautiful photo!

Are the subdials half-patterned and half not-patterened?

Thanks for the complements! Yes, the subdials are half and half. I hope you enjoy the new picture of the luminous markers.

louwal, that is a great looking watch. i'm leaning towards the ss version myself. i agree that the lack of a bracelet on the blacksteel is a major, major drawback, no matter how comfortable the rubber band is supposed to be. as for the 1/2 textured subdials, i'm not so sure, i see the point about adding some contrast, but i'm not so sure that is the type of contrast i like. but the blue lume looks amazing. is that the actual color of the lume or is that a lighting trick?
