Hello all,

I am new to Breitlingsource.com and just recently bought my first Breitling Brushed Blackbird and could not be happier. After I put the watch on my wrist for the first time I definitely see this becoming a very expensive hobby of mine. lol

Best Regards

Congrats! I'd like to see some pics, since I like the look of the Blackbird so much!

There really is something quietly powerful and elegant about that watch. Not unlike the plane for which it is named. :lingsrock:

Absolute stunner :lingsrock:

I prefer these to the regular Chronomat as they have a symetrical sub dial layout and the central date window is just the icing on the cake 8)

Still can't decide between the brushed and polished though. Think brushed will be slighty easier to keep looking fresh

It was the first Breitling to catch my eye, and had to actually double my intended budget to get one, but I did! Because of the higher cost it put much more pressure on to be happy with my decision... and I'm very glad I was. It's good in the pics but still doesn't compare to holding it in person. Well you know that! :lingsrock:

Great looking watch! It was my first also, I haven't worn anything else since I got it. I like
the Pilot Bracelet on yours, mine came with a leather strap which I have become used to
(no full ling for me I guess). Not until next time anyway. Going for a Conomat on bracelet
for my next purchase. You are correct as to it becoming an expensive hobby, ask some of
the members here who have truly amazing collections. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I
have. Good luck with your new addiction.
Best regards,

A great choice in my opinion the stealth version is the one!

Here is my BB+

VERY cool. And Alan, your watch with the UTC is simply awesome. I'm quite happy with the Lings I've got, but if someday in the distant future I splurge again, it'd be for that watch right there, the Blackbird with UTC.

Something struck me as I looked at these pictures, though. I wonder if Breitling took the look of the bezel numbers from the Blackbird there, and bastardized them into the current B-01? I see just a tiny bit of ancestry history there.

Funny you should say that because it's was the main reason I went with the Blackbird. I have this real weird complex about a watch being balanced on each side. I do believe I am starting to get past these thoughts though.

It looks like I am going to be the only "hater" in the thread. I am not a big fan the BB. I dont know, there is just something about it that just turns me off to the watch.

However, I am glad that YOU love it, and that is all that matters.
