Has anyone successfully polished the very inside edge of their navitimer bezel; directly adjacent to the glass, without taking it off the watch? I was going to try it with a polishing cloth but not sure what will happen if I will end up polishing the protective coating on the crystal; which is probably inevitable. Any advice would be welcome.

Yes I have successfully polished the upper edge of the bezel on my old Navi World by laboriously masking off the crystal with tape and then using a tiny bit of a Cape Cods cloth very VERY carefully and gently. Both the masking and the polishing took ages, but as you say it's very close to the crystal and the last thing you want to do is remove the AR by accident, so IMO it was worth the care and time it took.

They sell little strips of clear film that people use to protect their cell phone screens etc. You could cut a round piece out to fit the crystal and then take a crack at it.
