Hi All

Just wondering what sort of discount I could expect to get from an AD in the UK for a Breitling Emergency. I've just contacted one (BanksLyon - if i'm not allowed to say then please remove the name) and they said £4550 discounted to £4200 which in this climate seems very low - I got the usual 'it commands a premium' etc...

Any and all opinions appreciated plus heads up on where to try would be good

Simon

Simon,

I've dealt with Banks Lyon a couple of times and they are very good. Where in the UK are you?

Stefan

Must be worth contacting Andrew Michaels in Newark. Known to offer some good discounts to Breitling Source members. Superb people to deal with

In some respects its nice to know that not everyone is willing to discount massively, as this only weakens used values.

Pretty cool place to pick up your first Ling 8)

Hope the deal all woks out for. Are you going for a brand new one, or pre owned? AFAIK they have quite a selection of pre owned Breitlings

Hi MartC

With the discount - i'm thinking of a new one, but will check what is there just in case as I really want one with the DiverPro bracelet so if there is that combo there as a pre owned then I may go for that - who knows - if the pre owned price is good enough, I may be able to get something else (or maybe just a hat!)

excuse my ignorance but what does AFAIK mean?

Simon

I think the Diver pro rubber strap really suits the Emergency. In fact that strap with the Coral dial would be my prefered combo.

Oh and AFAIK is just short for 'As Far As I Know' Forum jibberish

I'll have a good nose around the watches on offer at Fairford on Sunday
