![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Having never even seen a Breitling in person, I must say I am very happy with my purchase. A couple of weeks ago I was ready to stay within my intended budget and get a Steelfish, but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. ![]() Needless to say, as long as this is an authentic piece of Breitling metal I'm in love! PS... If there's a negative it's that my other watches now seem substandard. (but I can live with that) ![]() |

Congrats on your first Breitling purchase. I too found that my other watches seem bland next to my Breitling's inside the watch case. Hope you enjoy your new watch, it wont be your last ![]() |

Bandit Welcome to the esteemed company of 'Ling Lovers old chap. You are now under the spell and life as you've known it will never be the same. Fear not about the 'inferior' feelings, they are perfectly normal and there is no need to seek medical help. I recall I have a fine TAG scudding around in a bedside drawer somewhere; absolutely nothing wrong with it, except it just doesn't get a look in nowadays. Enjoy that lovely timepiece and this fine forum, my friend............wear it in health. |

Very cool. I can understand what you're saying. Even my brand new Airwolf, which I love and use daily, pales in comparison to my TT Chronomat. Really? You had never seen a Breitling in person before, ever? |

Wildblue wrote: Really? You had never seen a Breitling in person before, ever? Nope, never, didn't even know the brand until a month ago. I'll try to keep this to a min.. My first "real" watches when I was early 20s, were a couple of ESQs. At the time a $250 watch was even a little over the top. After losing both of those in very stupid ways I got a real sweet deal on a Krieger dive watch. Had that for many many years, and think out of boredom one day decided to sell and buy a Tag. Got the Aquaracer which was ok, enough to keep me content, but of course nothing special. Then last year I had a friend visit who collected watches. My first reaction was what a dumb idea, then over time it started to make more sense, why not collect something you can actually use. So getting in my head I at least wanted a nicer Tag I bought a 39mm , blue dial, with diamond bezel. I did really like it for the most part, but did realize I probably missed the boat on the current (and probably lasting) trend of bigger watches. Up until yesterday my latest Tag only bothered me a little being as small as it is, I figured the Diamonds made up for it.... But putting on the BB was a complete game changer. Fortunately I am big enough that I can wear a large watch without issue, and not even 24 hours after owning a Breitling I knew i will never wear a watch again in the 40mm range. In fact, my two Tags and a new G-Shock are going to be sold and probably go towards the purchase of a new White dial Super Avenger. I think that watch on the black croc strap will look huge and awesome. Oh yeah, getting back to the question about never seeing a Breitling. The closest AD is about 4 hours away and as i said I didn't even know what one was. I have always liked Tags, and still do, so when I'd shop that's all I would search. I'm completely amazed what is out there for great watches! I'll never be a collector, just don't have the cash to do so, but if I can have a BB and SE, I figure I'm good. (at least until next year) ![]() PS.... My entire experience has been great except for seeing how good some of the fakes are. To me those B____ds somewhat ruin it for me. But on the other hand, if a friend that could never afford an authentic one wants the look for a cheap price I'd have a hard time holding it against him. Watches are cool but not quite in the range of food on the table. I feel good about mine and that's really the only thing that matters. |
