I have took a look at my AD, he had the Omega PO chrono, and what a nice watch it is!
It is very similar to the Super avenger in things like size and weight and they both chrono
So
What are the plus and minuses of each one? and why will you choose X and not Y ?

It is just hard for me to think about what to buy if I am going to buy one of them :?

If You have the choice between two thing, do it like the children: Take both....

(Platon)

That is absolutely Your decision. Both watches are compareable concerning quality. They do have a different image. The Breitling is the rather show, fancy, flashy watch, the Omega is rather serious, not too flashy.

It also makes a difference, what other watches You already have/wear.

The obvious choice, get the FULL LING.

The Omega Planet Ocean is a nice piece, but it's an average looking piece compared to the Super Avenger.

The Super Avenger has a much more masculine presence. You are able to replace the standard bezel with a diamond bezel, not to mention it REALLY stands out! The Super Ocean is water resistant to 2000 ft. vs. 1000 ft. with the Super Avenger. Who's going to go that deep anyway?

The Super Avenger is less expensive than the Omega Super Ocean Chrono. Both in my opinion look great with casual or formal wear.

Just remember, nothing screams BLING better than the Super Avenger.

i would have to agree with brian on this one. i don't think you're going to find too many people on this forum who would pick the PO over the SA. the PO is a nice watch, but like brian and thomas mentioned it is a bit vanilla in terms of appearance. while the SA is just a hulking monstrosity of Super Awesomeness. while it might not be the best ling for everyone, the SA does reek of Super Awesomeness.

Get the Super Avenger, every aspect of the SA is distinct, The huge case & dial, not to mention the eye catching Pro II Bracelet. The Omega PO is a beautiful watch, but bland in my humble opinion, not to mention the bracelet looks like it came of a fossil watch.

I feel that Omega isn't as distinctive as Breitling... Sure Bond wore one (I would happen to think Bond would wear a Breitling in real life though), but I would rather have a brand that the typical Joe hasn't heard of. Omega just strikes me as a brand that all their models seem to blend together.

Above all, I would... act like I have been there before and order up the SA!!

Either way - you have an enviable dilemma :)

I would get the SA. In my mind, even if I know that Breitling/Omega are quite comparable, I prefer Breitling over Omega and have the feeling it's a "better" watch. It surely feels more exclusive and one of the reasons for that might be just what's been said already in this topic - people in general know about Omega, fewer know about Breitling. That said, I also get the feeling among friends and people who's recognizing Breitling, that Breitling is more appreciated than Omega.

I love the Planet Ocean Chrono, but faced with the opportunity to choose between the two, I'd have to say Super Avenger.. much more oompf.

However, if I had to choose now, i'd pick PO Chrono.. why? Because I already have a Super Avenger :)
