My take on this subject is, if you can afford a Mulliner, you can afford the bracelet. But the strap is ok too, because I've NEVER had a watch fall off my wrist!!! Has anyone here had that happen? I seriously doubt it. And besides, if you can afford that kind of bling you PROBABLY aren't going to be doing anything that would jeopardize the security of the watch. And let's go a bit farther, if you had a Mulliner on a strap you probobly aren't going to let it get in such bad shape that it might fall off. It all boils down to a matter of taste. What is yours?

And you are STILL a very young fellow. This is why I have the patience I have with you young fellows and will be all the more proud of you when you ARRIVE.

OK... now I am confused. Is the Mulliner Turbillon the only model Beitling that you can see through and that has the bar across it like that with the 2 screws in each end? If so, I tried one on at a AD in the Caribbean and they wanted $18,000 USD for it. There is a big difference between 18K and 108K.

Any thoughts???

Cayman,

If they quote you $18,000 it could'nt have been a real Mulliner Tourbillon

Hmmm... Maybe when she flipped the calculator is said 180,000 and my eyes were in such shock that they left off a 0... Who knows... but I know for a fact that it had that see through section with the crossbar (excuse my lack of knowledge of what they really call that).

The only genuine Breitling with a Tourbillon cage is the Mulliner - there are plenty of craplicas that have it - you regularly find them in the 6 and 10 positions (genuine is at 6).

If it was real it definitely not $18K, and I can't believe that an AD would have a fake.

By the way (and I realise that this is an academic argument given the numbers involved) I think that if you buy a display model from an AD you are getting a great deal at around $100 - $120K. I'm pretty sure that you would have to pay more than that for one that was made up to your own specs as is the intention.

If you own this watch, it's a Full Ling, PERIOD! If anyone who wants to argue because they have a SA which falls well short of being an equal time piece, just ask them why they don't have your watch, stick up your nose and walk away! jk

My buddy has a tiny little Jaegre Reverso, I don't ridicule him for having a tiny watch, I want to be him because that thing is awesome!

When it comes to this case, size should not matter.

It's all about wrist presence, I mean someone could have a dare I say regular Patek Philippe, which is like $15-30K, but since the bezel is small, no one would know what it was unless you were up close. Not to mention not everyone but high society knows what the hell a Patek Philippe is. Someone is more inclined to notice the 48mm Mulliner Tourbillion than the Patek Philippe yellow gold with calendar, even though they are similar in price.

I had a Cartier Tank Francaise, before I started my Breitling Revolution. But, What im trying to say is small case watches are very feminine. And big case lings like the SA are very unfeminine.

Personally I take more satisfaction when someone who knows watches says wow that's a Breitling? That's a fine watch. Rather than someone in a mall going "nice bling!"

I have a 45mm Citizen that i can wear and get the same reaction, but someone who really appreciates the watch would never bother (i'm not cracking Citizen).

IMHO of course!
