So I'm looking to get some of your opinions and rationale.
I drooled over the AS for a long time and after getting mine and having it for only a couple of months, I'm just not sure if I am a polished SS guy. I'm still on the fence about it...But it may be just a little too flashy for me.
I love the unique dial and the look (it's not the stenciled numbers MARK ;-) , it's just the polished SS.
So, my next in line of alternatives was the Brushed Blackbird. I love the look as well, and the bracelet is fantastic, and the Big D.
So, I'd like to hear some opinions on each of the watches and see what you would choose and why.
I'm going to go and see a BB today and compare.

Thanks guys!

I think I'd go for the Brushed Blackbird. I felt that my polished Evo was almost a little too much for me so I can relate on your feelings about that. Even though it's brushed, it still has a pretty good shine to it. I also really like the big date so overall, I'd go with the Blackbird.

Iv had a blackbird and compared to the skyland it will feel a lot smaller and thinner, even though i know the dimensions are smaller i dont think the blackbird wears to its dimensions if you know what i mean, how about the seawolf chronograph same size as the skyland (slightly thicker) and and a brushed with polished sides finish.

I'm really not a fan of the Seawolf Chrono with the offset date position... and I really don't want to go any thicker!
I also contemplated having the Skyland brushed by BUSA...I guess it could be done...bracelet and all? Not sure how much that would cost though...

i love my blackbird with its brushed and polished contrast, but i have to say, that the avenger skyland would probably have been my second choice. very nice piece. also, the avenger seawolf has caught my eye more than once. good luck!

I must say that now I have a smaller watch - the Omega Aqua Terra 41.5mm - I am very comfortable with wearing that size. I wear my Seawolf, which is 45.5mm and a lot thicker, during the week, and I am very glad to put the Omega on at the weekend.
Before I got the Omega, I did try on a Blackbird, and was very impressed at how comfortable it was. It just seemed to fit my wrist beautifully. I still love the Seawolf, though, it is kind of good to have the two totally different models to switch between.
Having said all this, I would take the Blackbird over the AS. And I have seen both the polished and brushed versions, and would go with the brushed.
Cheers,
Carl

The BB wears very nicely. Ive been faced with the same dilemma as you, and I went with the AS. It had nothing to do with money. I just really like the Pro II and the pushers and crown on the skyland. I hate the onion crown on the BB/chronomat, and as beautiful as the bracelet is, I think it might be a bit dressy looking for me with the 5 links across.

I should also point out that i LOVE polished breitlings :D

I'm sticking with my Skyland! I tried on the BB, and although I love the bracelet and the watch, it is just a little too small for me now...I guess I like em chunky! ....My watches that is...
