Hey guys, thanks for all the replys to my prior post (Skyland vs Seawolf)...I went to take a look at both pieces and of the two love the Skyland...also in the case was a Super Avenger (white dial with arabic)...talk about eye catching!!! So I tried on the watch and I still find myself loving it but saying "wow that's big"....In reading the forum I would guess the SA would be the one most would choose (over the Skyland)....here is my ?...SA or Skyland, and if SA do you like white dial with Batons or arabic?

I actually chose SA over Skyland but after a few days, it was too "rockstar" and big for me (and I'm 6'3 & 235) and so I returned it for the Skyland which is just right. Big, but not too big. Flashy, but not too flashy. Great watch.

Really you can't go wrong with either IMO. Both good watches and I think you'll love either.

I wear my SA with white face and Arabics as my everyday watch

I'm even considering selling my Bentley and keeping this as it's such a dual purpose watch, looks great with jeans/t-shirt with the Ocean Racer and looks the part on the Pro II with a shirt/suit.

Saying that, i love the Skyland Avenger and think that would look equally the part with the same strap/bracelet combo.

If you didn't get the SA would you be wishing you did??? thats how i'd look at it.

I love the SA, especially with the proII and white dial with arabics (the new stenciled ones). I would´ve got one already, but I have to realise the harsh truth, it´s way too big for my small wrists. :( It´s hounting me, but I´ve tried it on 4 times and every time it´s clear, that I can´t get away with wearing it. Maybe the new silver dial Avenger will bring me peace of mind.

That still doesn´t take anything away from my love for the mighty AS.

:yeahthat Bmore hit right on the money!!! 8)

Are you aware that the AS is "discontinued" this year and there´s a new (just) Avenger spreading around AD:s now. It has metallic stenciled arabics oposed to AS:s white ones. Otherwise it´s the same model. I personally like AS over the A. I love the cool contrast of the B&W. It has a tougher military chic look. The A steps closer to Chronomat territory now, which is cool too, but different.

Very interesting observation Bmore. I bought the Skyland and have been thinking I should've bought the SA instead.

I'm 6'2" with an 8.5" wrist. How big is your wrist?

I agree that the SA looks far too big on some people but just perfect on others.

I've just picked up my new SA from a local AD this weekend. White dial with batons on a proII bracelet and it is absolutely AWESOME!

For me it was THE combo to get. I'd tried all of the other combinations and this was the one that shouted to me the most.

I'm 6'1" with 7 1/4 inch wrists and the size of the SA is perfect. I thought it might be just a little too big but once I saw it in the flesh I knew I HAD to have one. Don't get me wrong, it's a monster of a watch but it sits perfectly on me, so anyone with bigger wrists than mine should have no problem sporting the big 'un. It's a heavy bugger as well, but I've been wearing my Emergency Mission for a few months now so I was used to the weight.

I was dead lucky with mine as well. Rang the dealer and they had one in stock, so no waiting (picked it up the following day) and got a good discount thrown in to boot!

The AS is a great piece but for me it was SA all the way.

Wrist is a tad under 8". The Skyland is perfect for it but after a day or two with the SA, it was "Hip-Hop Style" big and being big, almost looked fake it even though it was definately real. Just not my look I guess and I have a more conservative look. Both have a lot of flash, dressy and are sharp so you can't go wrong, just all about your style I guess.

I have 8 inch wrists and the SA is my daily wearer. I think it looks fine. :lingsrock: Someone said it before, it is a question of personal style.

Ive got an AS over an SA, for no other reason than my 6.75" wrist. If I had a bigger wrist, id probably have gotten an SA.
