I have had my first Breitling - an Avenger Skyland - for about 6 weeks now. I have noticed that it gains about 1 minute each 2 weeks. If it's in general a good idea to unscrew the crown as seldom as possible, then how often would you adjust the time? I can't stand seeing it more than 1 minute off, so I have been adjusting when that happens. Could you stand Two minutes? Three? To protect the seals?

hmm.. it would bug me after a couple of minutes. but that seems like its a bit faster than it should be.. i'd take it into the watchmaker at your AD and have them regulate it a bit.

I normally set the time every morning...

I tend to switch between the ones every other day and then of course the power is out next time I take it out. It would of course not happen if I got my thumbs loose and bought a winder.

Just bought a Crosswind 3 weeks ago and I'm a bit annoyd that it gains 5 to 7 seconds in one day (24h).
What is to be consider "normal"?

That's a bit on the high side.. i'd be taking that in to get regulated or serviced if it needs a service. If you bought it new 3 weeks ago (NOS) then take it back to the dealer and have them regulate it.

I was at the dealer and asked about this, he said it's "normal" with 2-3 min/month. Since I didn't know what to expect I asked you.
Anyway I will monitor it now for one week and see how much it gains and then go back to the dealer.

The most mine gain/lose is usually 3 seconds/day. All of my watches are between 1-3 seconds... otherwise i have them checked out

Is there any issue with having to wind watches frequently. I have been wearing my watch once every couple of days last week, and possible for the next couple of weeks, and of course have to wind it back up almost every time I wear it. Is there such thing as over winding? I understand that there is an "under winding" for persons who wear autos daily.

No problem with over winding on modern watches - if the spring is fully wound there is a slip clutch maechanism that prevents over winding. If you think about it, and automatic is being wound all the time that it's being worn, so this is a necessary protection.
