I just came back from my local AD and I saw the "Breitling the Book" for the first time. I am very impressed with the quality and content of it. I am seriously considering purchasing a copy of it, but I have a few questions:

In 25 years, do you think that the book would increase in value dramatically?

For the people who have a copy, could you post pictures and do you think it is worth $175?

Books don't tend to increase in value.

If you keep it mint then it might maintain value, but highly doubt that it will increase - in absolute or relative terms.

I have a fairly large collection of older watch books and rarely pay large dollars. It's not unusual to find a seller expecting a large amount but there is usually someone else selling for much less. Additionally there are websites that effectively 'consolidate' books from multiple sellers so that you can find the cheapest.

The only 'modern' books that might increase in value are very limited editions on very specialized car-related objects like rare Maserati or Ferrari models or Mille Miglia and other race event coverage. Also a few Rolex books have gone up in value and are very expensive now. Somehow I do not see this Breitling book do the same since it is allready quite expensive to begin with.

Has anyone read "the Book" as of yet? Thoughts?

As has been indicated already the only books I've heard go up in value are original additions and even then it has to be a collectors item.
