Post subject:  Need some help with my B-1

I have a B-1 which I absolutely love. The bezel has a serrated edge which is starting to fray the cuffs of my dress shirts and some of my pants near the pocket. Has anyone else had this problem? I think it's a simple fix - I just need a new bezel without this edge on it, but where do I go to get one? If I go to an AD, I'm afraid I'm going to get jammed on the labor to swap it out. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ooh - I've got to run around and check all my cuffs and pockets now!

I wear my B-1 as a daily beater and have never noticed any similar frayed edges.

On the subject of getting a smooth edged bezel it would be worth having a chat with your nearest service centre to cost a replacement.

It's only 4 screws but I'm not sure how complex the geared mechanism is. You may be able to get a new one fitted at a service centre - keep the old one and get that buffed and fitted at a local jeweller. When the watch goes for a service you would need to put the original one back on or Breitling will change it and charge for another new one.

Someone will know the exact procedure for removal/refit of the bezel.

BTW - :welcome:

Hi - I can't say I've ever had this problem with my B-1 - they aren't that sharp?

- I've just got a Rolex Submariner and noticed the bezel has much 'sharper' edges than the B-1. Anyway - I would guess that the B-1 bezel is specially made - but perhaps (serious suggestion) you could gently file down - or perhaps gently use sand-paper to smooth down - the serrations so that they are smoother? Just an idea??

Have to say I wear mine on a daily basis and have never experienced any fraying of cuffs.
Have you maybe got a sharp edge on yours which needs trimmed?

Best wishes,
