I had seen the Mechanical chronograph maintenance video but the Polishing video i never seen that before.

http://www.breitling.com/service/

I had seen a different polishing video but this one is different.

I really don't understand why breitling don't put these video's on there main page.

I found that the other day while showing somone the Chrono service at work.

Surprised any sort of laquer can stand up to a polishing mop :o Truely impressive how they turn that Blackbird around 8)

When you think how little car dealers do for a £300 service, Breitling servicing doesn't seem so painful

That's awesome. The attention to detail involved makes me appreciate how much went into making my Herc look as good as new when it came back from a service last year :lingsrock:

A full service is ballpark $500 depending on model. You can arrange for servicing through your local AD or in some areas send it direct to the service centre.

Quality service and good value for money, I'd say.
I've just paid £100 for a Service on my Seiko Quartz (Seiko UK) and the watch only cost £300 :(

No, but that's all it is - just a polish. When you asked about service I thought you meant a full watch service.

No, but that's all it is - just a polish. When you asked about service I thought you meant a full watch service.

A full service includes:
1 - Taking the watch movement out and replacing any worn parts, cleaning and putting them back together after applying lube.
2 - Polishing case and removing scratches in process. (your baby gets shiny and looks like new :D )
3 - Change any seals or o rings.
4 - Then they put your baby back together completely.
5 - Then a water tight test it as well as other movement tests.
6 - I believe the last step is to return it to you like new!!! :D :D :D

Hopefully I didn't miss any steps in between.

Somebody else posted These vids a while back. I am not that good with the search, so I can't give the credit where it is due. If he/she reads this I thank you very much! I love watching them. Here is the one on service. You already have seen the one on polishing so I won't bother to post the link. Enjoy the video I know I did and still do.
