Prior to owning my Navitimer World I've always worn my watches (SuperOcean, Super Avenger and others) without any concerns about it being banged or bumped. Now that I've been wearing the Navitimer World for some reason I feel that I need to be extra careful with it. For some strange reason I'm associating water resistance with level of toughness and durability.

Am I off the mark or is other Navitimer and Navitimer World owners experiencing the same thing? or are Navitimers just a rugged minus the water resistance? I certainly hope is the latter because nothing I hate more than having to baby a watch.

I can see myself at some point in time having to take this beauty to the AD because I ended up doing something stupid like totally forgetting about its sensitivity to water and end up dunking it. Its just a matter of time  :wowzers .

Any thoughts?

This was the exact reason I decided not to get a navi as my first breitling. I tried one on and I loved it, but I was afraid it might not be rugged enough for a daily wearer. I def want one but if I decide to get a navi world it will probably be for formal atire. The SA seemed a much better choice for a daily wearer.
