Are all the crystals on the Datoras this good or did I just get an unbelievably good example? I can't stress how well made the crystal and AR coating is. I feel like I can reach and touch the dial, the hands seem like they are floating on top of the watch. A coworker actually asked why my watch did not have a "top" ![]() Is this the case with all Navitimers? My guess whas that maybe being a pilots watch readability enhancement was important? |

I have the same experience with both my SA and my CA - maybe this is an area where Breitling is very good? ![]() |

Ditto on the SA!! When it is perfectly clean it does look like you could just reach in and change the time! ![]() |

Agreed! The first Ling I ever got, I swore there was no glass when I opened the bakelite box for the first time. It was an uncanny feeling. A girl I work with once was spying my B-2, and she was like "that watch you are wearing looks like there is no glass on it"... she was also the one that noticed my Motors and mentioned how "big" it was ![]() Breitling's double AR Coating does look fantastic! |

The only problem I have with my Datora is readability, it takes me longer to read the time than on any other watch I ever had. Especially in low lights conditions, the hour and minute hands look too similar with the tapered ends and busy dial. That said it does have more function and featutes than any one mechanical watch I ever saw. I love the way the date is displayed. I am seriousely contemplating turning my Datora into a frankenwatch and changing the hands!!! |

I am thinking of getting rid of the Datora, as beutifull and unbelievably well made it is it is too hard for me to tell the time (I have weak vision) The hands with the tapered ends and the shiny little indexes were a mistake IMO, they are just not distingueshed enough for my tired eyes from teh rest of the dial. |

Agreed. The hands seem to float! If you get a chance to watch how the crystals are made on Breitlings website, I recommend watching it. Amazing craftsmanship! ~Brian |
