Hi,

I am looking to buy a Blackbird. Every jeweller I go to the price varies enormously. What would be a reasonable price in USD I could expect to pay for a Blackbird so I don't get ripped off??

Many thanks

Global

Welcome to forum!

The retail price on the stainless steel faceted bracelet is around US $7000, if I recall. The retail price drops anywhere from $600-$1200 if you get the leather strap instead, depending on what kind of leather you choose, and what type of buckle.

You can search this forum for general pricing info. Most people are getting a discount of 15% off the retail price with little trouble and up to 25%-30% off with some legwork and patience. There are several references to Authorized Dealers (AD's) who are willing to ship to out-of-state customers. I'm not sure where you're located.

Good luck with your purchase, the Blackbird is beautiful choice.

Hi All,

Many thanks for the responses. Certainly nice to have a range to work with now so thank you.

Alex, I will be in the U.K next week so would be interested in a price from there if that is possible?

Many thanks

slightly off topic, with regards to the Blackbird does anybody think it will be revamped in the near future,as with the launch of the BO1 and the demise of the chronomat surely the blackbird is next in line??

No demise of the Chronomat, just the addition of the B01, and the Blackbird got a polished model last year.

Don't see any immediate changes coming, but who knows how the in house movements will roll out.

I'd love to see a BB with Silver subdials... or some contrasting color.

Personally, I think the more options that are offered on any given model, the less of a "Special Edition" it becomes. The Blackbird is currently one of the most unique models in the Breitling lineup, once you start giving options with different subdials etc. then you get more into the Chronomat type of thing. Especially with the new B01 coming out, it makes the Blackbird even more unique with only the one dial option.
Cheers,
Carl

agreed! I mean every company needs their go to model and pretty much anyone who likes Breitling likes which is the chronomat, but others needs to be limited in my eyes you either likes them as is or u dont
