while in a hotel in hotel on our recent road trip, very late and a couple of coktails in me i bashed my ASBS into the wall. cringing and very mad at myself, i hesatated to turn the light on to see the damage. after building up the courage to look, i took a peek. the only damage was to the wall, a nice size paint chunk stuck to the bezel. i was so excited i needed to pop another sam adams for a little celebration. i semi baby my watches and the blacksteel held up perfectly. thanks for listening i meen reading my little story.

Hey Dan!
Very glad to hear that story had a good outcome! That DLC coating is tough, only just be careful not to bang it against anything made of steel! The sharp edge of the bezel is the most vulnerable, as we know. I guess the wall was wood or gyprock, or something fairly soft in comparison to metal, though.
When I started to read your post, I got a horrible feeling in my stomach. Glad it turned out OK.
Boy, am I glad that I decided to keep my Seawolf! I hit another bit of machinery at work today, again it hit one of the rider tabs and moved the bezel around a couple of notches, and that was it! This watch seems to be the perfect mate for my Omega Aqua Terra, as a matter of fact I have come to like it even more now that I have the Omega! Funny things seem to happen to us in the world of watches.
Cheers,
Carl
