I´m going to Bankok on a business trip in 6 weeks. Anyone know if there can be found any good deals? I know the place is infested with fakes and I need to be careful not to get ripped of. This is why I hate fakes!!! :guns:

I could pick up one if a good deal could be found. :lingsrock:

All help is much appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

I agree.
Check out the Breitling official website, which has a list of official retailers (AD's). ONLY BUY THERE!
Don't go to any non-official Breitling jewellers, since you will not get the Breitling warranty and there is no guarantee that the watch is real.

Good luck and have fun!

Jep, I´ll steer clear of any unofficial dealers. Anyone know what the price level there is, any cheaper or the same?

Thanks.

So is it true that you only get the warranty from a AD?
Do you not get any Breitling warranty if you by a new watch from any grey dealers?

Nope.

You get the grey market dealer's own warranty - with no way to know what kind of parts they use!!

As long as the serial number is intact. If the grey market dealer has removed the serial then Breitling won't touch it.

If I were you, don't try to save a few bucks on grey dealers and just buy from official ADs.
Getting the dealer's own warranty means you have to send your watch back to Thailand to get repaired...good luck with that!
If you buy a 3000-7000 USD watch, at least make sure your investment is covered by a good warrant, ie: Official worldwide Breitling warranty

I Just returned from my business trip. I was quite disappointed. I went to three different AD:s, but they didn´t have that many pieces on show and prices were only 10-12% cheaper then here in Skandinavia. :( I have a bad watch fever for a white or silver dial piece. I was hoping to find something I couldn´t resist and that i would have to talk myself into getting it. Didn´t happen though.

Well, the search continues...

You can get it from some, but rarely.

Siam Paragon is highly recommended and dead easy to get to on the skyline metro train, its one huge huge modern shopping complex, ref prices not sure where you are from I bought a tag monaco from there and saved a ton of money compared to UK retailers, but £ has slumped recently so not much savings to be had for me now buying from Thia. Be sure though to do all the instore paperwork at the tax free department instore and you can claim I think 10-15% back of the puchase price at the airport on the way home, as long as you leave enough time to do it lol.

I did go to Siam Paragon, a very big and cool complex with all high end brands. Two shops carried Lings. The prices weren´t that great and too few models were on show. They had some very intresting pieces on sale on Tags and other brands, just not Lings.

When I was last at Bankok airport I was blown away by the amount of high end watches. I remember in particular coming very close to buying a Breitling Emergency as it was around 30% off.

Not sure whats changed in the last 2 years though, so the deals might be crap now.

The Thai's are sharks....

Archie lived in Bangkok for a few years.... I lived in Soi Nana - Sukhumvit.

The Thai are the biggest crooks I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.....

Bangkok is great for organising a girl for the night.... BUT NOT buying a high end watch.

The high end dealers - like at Emporium - are such snobs..... Hence the reason I always wore my Rolex Gold Day Date President when seeing these freaks.....

I REALLY LEARNED TO HATE THE THAIS! .... if it wasn't for the girls the place would have no purpose.
