Hello

Could someone please explain to me what is the difference between the Breitling Crosswind Chronometre Automatic and the Breitling Chronograph Automatic is, this writting appears on the dial of the watch .

I have the breitling Crosswind Chronometre Automatic with the Blue Dial and my Boss has the other with the Black Dial and for some reason his appears larger in diamater is this true or not or does it have something to do with the colour of the Dials, are they the same timepeice

Could you also give me a bit of history of both watches as I have been trying to search this info for a while but could find any links to show the difference

I have included the links so you can view what Im talking about

Those two are both Crosswinds by the look of it - the second is older (Pre COSC) and the second is later. The watches were produced from about 97 to 2004 with COSC certification kicking in around 2001.

There was another version called the Crosswind Racing which had the same model number but a different subdial design. I don't recall the size changing throughout the life though - I thought that they were all just under 43mm. There is a Crosswind Special which is slightly larger, but that looks totally different - big date at 12 and subs at 3, 6 and 9.
