Post subject:  New color black/blue dial for Super Avenger
Today I was at my local AD where I found the new Super Avenger with arabics. It's new because I noticed the large wings logo.
However, the dial color didn't seem as black as previous SA's to me (also not as black as my black Navi World dial), but rather a very very dark blue. It is not the regular blue version though, it seemed much too dark for that. I tried it on my wrist, but unfortunately can't take a photo.

The girl at the AD said it was very dark blue/indigo (hard to know as she said it in Chinese and not 100% sure of the real translation), but most of the people at this huge watchstore don't really know anything about the Breitling watches.

Fact is, I want to get this watch when I'm on a trip in Singapore and not at this AD in China (prices are 20% higher than in Singapore). This means I want to be very clear and sure what version the Singapore AD should reserve for me, as I will only be there for 2 days during the weekend when the distributor office is closed.

SO, does anyone know if the new SA's have a new very dark blue dial version, or if they changed the black dial color slightly with the new version?

There´s nothing like that I know of. It´s probably the AR coating on the cristal playing tricks on you in a certain light and angles. It´s the -08 model large wings, but the -09 AS has stenciled numbers now. They are just starting to reach AD:s.

Thats what I was gonna say. One time in my AD they had a black skyland, but the lady was convinced it was blue because of the lighting, but she checked somewhere and it was definitely black.

Hi,
I have just bought this watch and you are right in thinking the dial looks blue in certain light. I can assure you its black and its the AR coating than makes it look blue. I dont know its its my imagination but after owning this watch for a few weeks it seems to be more black>

btw its a beautiful watch and in my humble opinion the best model breitling have ever produced!

Ok, guess you guys are right.
Also, forgot about those stenciled numbers coming in for the 09 version. Have to be fast and get the 08 version as i don't want a military look/prefer the old style better.
Guess without a picture its also impossible to get a definite answer anyway, sorry bout that
