What makes you think that I was referring to your post? Just read the posts between my last two.

When I think Breitling cannot possibly sink any lower..... Geez... This is abismal. While the B01 is good initiative from Breitling, I could count at least a dozen of chronograph movements that are classified or considered better than the B01, and most of them were conceived in the 20th century. Call me crazy, but when it comes to automatic chronograph movements, I'd even put the Cal.11 before the B01. Then there's Cal.321 from Omega that flew to the moon, the Zenith El Primero, the Rolex 4130, the Rolex 4160, and at least a handful of Patek annual or grand complications....

Highly arguable, for example. The only movement I can think of that has more reported, repeated issues than the 01 on these forums alone, the El Primero. Can't imagine what Zenith forums look like.

What??? The El Primero has more issues than the B01???

I'll take my El Primero over a B01 any day of the week.

Hopefully you can make more friends there because you haven't faired so well here.

Justin, I'm not MAD that Breitling is proclaiming to have the best chronograph in the world, I'm actually quite amused by it. They make one movement, with an added GMT functioN, and now they have the best chronograph in the world???? Someone compared it to Budweiser saying they're the king of beers, they're the NUMBER ONE selling beer brewer in the world. Is Breitling B01 the number one selling chronograph in the world? Do watch aficionados even consider it in the top 10? Roff knows more that most of us combined about watches and he says not even top 100, which is a bit of an exaggeration, but that's ok. It was a dumb marketing strategy in a watch magazine that is read by mostly people who are into watches, and most of who will chuckle at the stupidity. Someone said it was a successful marketing strategy because it gets people talking, I think it actually gets people talking negatively, you have to be a complete fanboy to agree with that nonsense....or an AD trying to keep your sales up.

I agree with some sentiments in all advertising that is total BS because I can dream up in what specific set of circumstances their claim is true, and I limit it to that. When Omega says they have the best calibre, maybe that statement can be made in a very set of specific circumstances, like we are the best because at one moment in time, we went to the moon and performed feats no one else did, so we are #1. I'm simply stating that many manufacturers do the same, and since there is no criteria used to gauge their opinion, rebutting it with our own opinion is futile. You own an Omega, will you go sell it now because they make stupid ads?

Another example. Say you win a Gold medal at the Olympics. At that time, in that place you are the BEST in the world. Last Olympics, someone else might have won, and in the next one, some one else might win, but on this day, in this place you are the best.

Breitling is the best chronograph in the world when you consider.... now dream it up. Best in-house performing serial manufactured chronograph?

I am the best Breitlingsource poster in the history of Breitlingsource. 8) that's positive right?

I understand what your saying that everyone claims to be the best, but in my mind thats not acceptable unless there are at least some facts behind it. Omega has stated facts about why they feel they have the best movement, (is it THE best, NO) but I appreciate their reasoning (silicon, co-axial, longer service intervals, less lubrication needed, beautiful finish, etc.). What has Breitling shown other then a black page saying End of Discussion?

no, please ! do not leave us ! we need that in-your-face testosterone laden abrasive input urgently.

if you are - even a little - interested in Breitling, those other forums give you about 3 threads a day, all together about as informative (or less) as our WRUW thread here.

OMMMMMMM !
