The riveted cardboard box is OK but the new watch pillow is HUGE. Unless you have a big wrist, the watch won't fit well on it when adjusted properly. Check out the difference between the one that came with my Cockpit and the one that came with my GMT 44...

I just got a Bentley GT Racing and this came in the new cardboard box as well. I was not too pleased, I saw the Bakelite boxes they looked so much nicer.

I have two questions:
Is it possible to get the Bakelite boxes for the Bentley
Did Breitling USA drop their prices

It used to be, but if they've been discontinued then likely not, and no.

Hell I have to squeeze my watches onto the old pillow as is, and doubt any would fit on the new larger one. Poor design if you ask me.

I feel like my links are going to snap from the expanding pressure of the new pillow.

Happy to oblige with more bad phone photos. There is a leatherette case inside - I suppose you'd call it a travel case. I'd say that the packaging isn't high end but is quite nice.

Only just seeing that now... It is a bit sub-par, is it not? Though perhaps it could be seen as apple-ish.

Anyhow, I liked the Bakelite box quite a bit more than that... It is an arguably useless item, but it does a lot for the luxury-feel of a watch... And one might want that... For 10k CHF...

Breitling should team up with Cartier & others to provide
superior presentation cases, boxes, carriers, nestings, etc.

That box is unabashedly cheap - there's no explanation for this move other than saving a buck. It's wildly shortsighted and harmful to the Breitling brand. Unfortunately, this is something of a pattern for the boys and girls in Grenchen.

If that were the case they wouldn't own so many airplanes.

Actually, they don't own the planes, they're just sponsoring them.
