Allrighty then, riddle me this - what is the proper pronunciation? (1) EhTA, (2) EaTA, or (3) AyTA? I say #1. Watchsounds says #3.

I guess either, 1 is the anglicised version of 3

For sure #1 is in French (so you're right Tom), #2 in the anglicised version (E).

I would say #3 is wrong as there is no A in ETA.

Or, perhaps we could just say 'E T A'? That's what I did before hearing a salesperson pronounce it 'EH-ta.'

As for the sticky thread, it's like the T-Rex's vision being suited for motion - if it doesn't do something to grab my attention, I don't see it. I'm so used to just looking past those sticky threads, I forget they're there. Ironically, I did check the B-Source glossary, a general online watchmaker's glossary, and Wikipedia before asking the question.
