It isn't like Seiko is some buster brand. They've made some good (if boring) pieces over the years.

Frankly, Tag's styling could have used a little dialing back so it's not the worst choice in the world. :|

Well movement doesn't really drive design, but the issue wasn't (isn't?) that they used a Seiko movement - it's a very good movement, it was that Tag tried to pass it off as their own.

No, it's the 1887 movement that Tag call 'in house' (it is in house, just not their house).
