That's Breitling's 'standard' 24 hour movement as used in the Cossie and he Le Mans.

Pity they didn't go in-house with this for the price.

Quite surprised that anyone thinks this is *actually* a military watch. Only civvies could assume that soldiers would go into the front line wearing an eight thousand dollar watch, that's two inches wide, and an inch thick, but only tells the time, doesn't have a compass, alarm, countdown, backlight etc!

Agreed, I think it's the double digits on the left side, not done as well as the Cosmo' or cm24 IMO.

It's for desk soldiers who want to have a "power watch" on when they are giving presentations at work. ;)

I have them on stock already...
But maybe just because Austria is closer to Switzerland than the US!

I don't see any Active Duty guys buying it. It is just not affordable for them unless troops outside the USA make considerably more.

Very true, but then actual active service guys would be insane to wear something like that anyway. $7.4k, and the size of a breeze block is not exactly practical for real life military ops when a $100 G-shock will do the job with more accuracy.

Its more to do with the "spirit" of a covert military style watch, not that its a watch that actual soldiers would wear on duty.

So with the following real world criteria in mind;
affordable
Quartz
complications
Back light
alarm
timer

If breitling were to create a bona fide military watch, it would make more sense to use the caliber79 (aerospace) or the one in the Airwolf. Put it in a titanium case with say 300m wr, diver bezel, dlc it all, add a rubber tang strap??

Put it in the Professional line up, and sell it to the collectors with more money than sense...... like us??!!
;)
