I had a Steelfish. Great looking watch with a great lume but I sold it s it was just too big and heavy. A 42mm with a sensible 200m wr would be a great watch. Also had aTi Seawolf which had such a readable dial. Being Ti it was light to wear but still too big at 44mm and because it was 3000m wr it was much too thick. Sold that one. I have the Colt Chrono and Colt GMT. No plans on selling either of those as they are superb watches. Great size and thickness and look good.

I'm going to bump this thread one more time to ask a question.

One thing I preferred about the Steelfish I used to own versus the Colt I own now is that it had more brushed surfaces. At one time when I thought the Colt would be a long-term keeper (and admittedly it may still be; sitting on the fence on this one) I considered having it brushed in a manner similar to the 'Fish.

So my question is, have any of you had a Colt or Colt GMT brushed? And if so, do you have pics you can post?

And yes, I know that to a purist this ranks right up there with crimes against nature, so no need to blast me for considering it.

One of the reasons I bought a Colt Quartz over the Colt was that I so much preferred the brushed finish. That adds quartz to the crimes against nature...

That looks fantastic, Murph. I never thought a Colt would make me drool, but this one is challenging that belief.

Thanks, Murph. That's just brushed on the outer links, right? No brushing on the case, or is my eye missing something? As far as it goes, I like the look. Was hoping someone could produce one that's been brushed like a 'Fish.

Come to think of it, I may have seen this one before, or one like it.

Duh...totally forgot about that model. Maybe a search will produce some decent pics for comparison.

Same as a Steelfish then? Nice job. Sure changes the personality of the watch.

Tell me, am I nuts for thinking about parting with it?

Please, allow me to answer that . . .

Yes!

My Colt is now safely back in the fold and sporting its summer casual wear.

Im curious about the white dials , are they really white, or silver? I have the silver/ light gray, but I think I would have preferred white. I was told white wasn't an option for this model.

Please don't double post.

As bnewbie told you in your first thread, there is only one silver / white dial for your model.
