Guess they don't teach common sense in school. Shame.

Nor etiquette and manners for this matter. Extra shame.

Dude, people helped you with your question, don't be so sensitive and at least acknowledge that you got helped. Even after you were lazy when given the full price listing to work with. I'm fairly certain nobody here had a price ranking specifically how you wanted it standing by waiting to share with you. They gave you the information, you gave them a bad attitude. When you are nice, people treat you with respect, when you give the 'tude people give you sarcasm. What do you expect?

And I appreciate the sarcasm and irony of the comments in this thread, made me laugh at work when reading this :)

:huh Sorry but I really don't get this at all. You asked a question and as far as I'm concerned Roff answered it immediately by providing a link to a list that shows all current models (admittedly as at 2010, but it's the latest we have on-line). Then when that apparently wasn't enough, I suggested you might like to sort it in Excel to show them in price order. Then when that wasn't enough, Sharkman did the sorting for you. And somehow that still isn't what you are after...... :huh

Now either you've not be clear in what you want and we've somehow not answered it, or you've not looked at what Sharkman provided.

I've personally refrained from being sarcastic in this thread (although I can certainly see why some have), but I'm really struggling to see what else we can do..........

The lesson here, OP, is that no matter what anyone told you, paint chips are not food.

I think he just didn't articulate what he really wanted.. a simplified list from lowest to the flagship model lines (irrespective of how options like dial/materials/complications affect price). For example, in the list that was sorted by price, it would show a Colt GMT as being higher priced than a SuperOcean, so in essence, that list isn't really providing what he wants because he wants to see a simplified list showing the Colt line as the lowest rung on the ladder. That being said, he never articulated that point, and instead got hostile/unappreciative, so it's no surprise people here got snotty in return.

This is a forum where you can ask all the questions you want, and people will help, but you can't expect people to provide you with the answers exactly in the manner you want. With the list provided to you, you could easily figure out what the general progression is from lowest to highest model line. They did try to help you and just because they didn't hand it to you in the exact way you wanted, there's no reason to get hostile about it. Not very classy for a supposedly highly educated person.

ok thanks...for nothing

This is an interesting thread. The fact you haven't been banned yet should (a) show you we're a pretty tolerant lot who enjoy a good laugh, even if it is sometimes is at the expense of the uninitiated, and (b) make you feel ashamed that I had to tell you that and you couldn't have figured it out on your own. Any other forum would have banned you many times over by now. Then again, in light of the underlying dispute, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised I had to explain this to you. But since you do evidently have the cojones to stick around and put up with all of this, I'll help you out. The most simplified list I can come up with is as follows:

- Colts are pretty much at the bottom.

- Professionals sort of stand on their own, but they can also be considered a step up from the Colts.

- The Superoceans are next.

- The Superocean Heritage line is a step up from that.

- The Avenger line is next.

- Then comes the puke-inducing Galactics.

- After that, we step up to the in-house models. Arguably the Transocean line is the "lowest" of these, but that's really drawing a fine line.

- Then come the Chronomats.

- Finally, we have the Navitimers, which are arguably the flagship model, although that's subject to interpretation and taste. The Montbrillants are essentially a subset of the Navitimer range, even though they're now listed as being separate.

- Finally finally, there is the Bentley range, which is an outlier. In terms of finishing, it's the highest-end Breitling range, and is priced accordingly. However, none of them yet feature in-house movements, so it's a little dubious to say they are truly higher-end than the in-house ranges.

And there you have it. Now, something else to keep in mind: according to this site, I'm a friggin' Cult of Breitling Leader (how did that happen?), and I didn't know this stuff off the top of my head. I took the time to look it up, write it up, and present it to you, using the same sources you could have accessed on your own. So, although I really don't care if you thank me or not, if you don't thank me, it will really show the magnitude of your ingratitude*, and I will accordingly add you to my "ignore" list, where you will be a population of one.

Good day. I said, good day.

*I don't know how they talk at Harvard, but where I went to school, that's pretty run-of-the-mill speech.
