Hmm

I bought my 1st Breitling for myself, with my wife's blessing for my 40th Birthday...a black dial B1.

Since then things have ...errrr progressed. :lingsrock:

My delicious wife never ever questions why I buy or complains about the cost, she simply states that I've earned it.

But then she also likes to watch football (Soccer) A lifelong Liverpool fan. She understands 3rd and 9 and thinks Howie Long was a better football player than actor....

She is a pretty good golfer! And she buy's me beer and whisky for when I've been working away and come home late tired and in need of a shave.

So.....I don't need to convince, just make sure she gets her breakfast in bed on Saturday & Sunday

Davey

Tell your wife is a replica and you bought it on the internet. Print her an add from one of those websites as proof and she'll hopefully buy that. Otherwise buy the fake watch and use it as a decoy!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P

It amazing what you can do when you are in the process of building the wife's dream house on the water.

Well, the response to this post, with all the various methods of achieving OUR next Breitling has been an education for me.

Soooooo I am now buying my wife her first car, which has made her so happy, that she does not care that I am spending a small fortune on a gorgeous Chronomat TT with the MOP diamond dial and Diamond bezel. I must thank you all for your help, truely I would have struggled without your inputs , so as soon as I have picked it up my baby I will post some photos of it. I can hardly wait. :lingsrock:

The house is being built in Mississippi on the Jourdan River. We bought the original house two years ago. After spending more time there than in our main house in Louisiana, it took the wife about 10 min. to convince me to build a bigger one on the lot in Mississippi. It should be completed the first week of June. The house is a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath with my office on the second floor. Due to the flood zone we are in the house has to be 12 feet off the ground that translates into 18 feet above sea level. The wife gets her house, and I get to buy a Breitling or two. Also in the near future I will get to replace the Corvette I lost in Hurricane Katrina.

Its very simple and very easy. She knows I am the MAN, I have the MAN parts, which means I am in charge. I'm new to this forum but I've noticed so many of you on here are so scared of your wives. Do they make all the money? Are you married to feminists? I'm all for womans rights, but never it a million years would I be scared to make a purchase because of a woman. Maybe I was raised different, or maybe its because I am young (26) but there is no such thing has "convince". I feel for you guys out there without this luxury. Marry an Italian, or a Puerto Rican woman and you'll never have these worries.

Oh how young you are!!! :uplaugh:

I would buy the watch while you are single that way you avoid all the issues :) That is what I did. :lingsrock:

Yeah, still considering doing this as I'm about to buy a Ling for me, too.

your other option is to do what i do, play guitar, have 10 of them in the house with a load of amps that take up loads of room, then tell her you wont buy any guitars, and collect watches instead!

works like a charm, they are way smaller!!!
