Not a big fan of the lefty - a little too plain for my tastes. But the black dial Daylight is a beauty! All you need now Sportback, is an Arktos and you'd own what would be my entire Panerai collection! Nice going!

If I was to buy a left hook timepiece with a God forsaken strap, I'm afraid I would have go with this:

Available in 50 and 55 mm.

That's a huge b*tch!

I've actually tried one on and I really liked it!

55 MM? By then the watch is wearing YOU!

Where does it stop?

Imagine a Bentley with that size? I am getting carpral tunnel syndrome just thinking about it :?

That said I used to believe the 42 speedmaster was too big, I used to think that Rolexs were the perfect size. Now I cant go below 42.....

Just so happens I've got a Daylight (black dial) This is a 250 for the paneristi - and I rather like the look of the white dial Daylight (the 251) - so much so that I ordered one - should be arriving at the end of the month...

As for the strap changing...it never ends!

I am really tempted to start a new panerai site with better organized info than the paneristi one. What do you guys think?

Not a fan of Panerai as I've said (although I'd love to own that Egyptian Navy one I posted above, if only for novelty value).

That said, what you have done with this site admin is incredible and I think the Panerai community would benefit. That said, we're going to jealously demand your time, expertise and contributions to this site!

I've been working on another project in addition to the Canadian watch trader site (and a canadian watch seller site too)... and that's the omega and rolex site. Its an informational resource just like this site. :)

A lot of the Risti's have long complained about the poor layout of the site but nothing ever gets changed and these boy's are so loyal I'm not sure a rival site would be a success. There is another site call ViaPaneristi that is a rival and that one does not do that well (although it's run by a hated figure in the PAM community!!)

I wouldn't really be making a competing site... this would simply be a resource/reference site. No forum or anything.

If you dont have the passion for panerais that you have for Breitlings its going to be basicly work. Think how hard it was to create and maintain this website and you are, if you don't mind me saying, a Breitling nut!!!

Personally I think it could work - one of the sad things about paneristi.com is the weird forum rules, which certainly don't apply here. I had nothing but help, and playful banter obviously, since I started visiting this forum - this can't be said for Panerisit.com. If you're well known, have had a serious accident or your mother is ill, then fine, you can say and do pretty much what you want, but if you're just a mere mortal like me, you are sometimes treated as an idiot.

I don't drive a Porsche or smoke cigars but I feel I do have the right to air my feelings like everyone else - something which is refreshingly available to us here.

This is more than likely due to the fact that Admin is a reasonable bloke, and the only moderator - over 'there', the moderators come out of the trees and edit messages at every opportunity it seems. I think it says something about the general level of the posts here that we don't need editing at all...

/EOR

Sorry - I needed that

Good post sporty and I agree fully, I did join that forum and do feel the people over there can be snobish at times, the reason I really enjoy this forum is the relaxed attitude

:yeahthat

Couldn't agree more.

I also notice that this forum continues to grow - over 400 registered users now and that says a lot for such a new site.

The challenge for us all is to be to ensure that we can maintain this relaxed sense of camaraderie when we number in the thousands!
