2 shops in 2 days all trying to clear their breitlings before the boutique opens. Will be hard to get discounts in sydney now.

That MAY be the case, but it's still extremely easy (& relatively cheap) to pop up to Brisbane, or down to Melbourne for a quick trip. Heck, I do that a few times a month for work anyway!

Has anyone been yet, or even confirm that it's now open?

Had the time to duck on down today - What a great looking store!
Really had to be a little discrete with taking some pic's as they wouldn't have been too enthusiastic if they'd caught me with the camera.....

Great service from the staff who also appeared to be quite knowledgeable on all things Breitling (as you'd expect)!!

Apparently the 'official' opening will be in March sometime & they are still receiving stock. So although they do have quite an extensive range, it is still growing.

If you're in Sydney, I'd highly reccomend a drop in.

Popped in for a visit today.

Quite a nice selection of watches including, as expected quite a few limited editions. I think they have about 270 watches in the store at the moment and are expecting another 100 or so soon.

Spoke to a watchmaker there (I'm not sure how many they have) and he was quite helpful. They do have a small service area there, although I suspect everything apart from minor servicing is sent to the service centra at DKSH.

Interesting way of unlocking the cabinets - it is with an electronic promixity key and a swipe of it unlocks all the cabinets in that area.

Some of the limited editions I remember seeing:

2012 navitimer white face (i think they had two of them)
blackbird - not sure if it was the red strike or the other one
chronomat gmt - both blacksteel and stainless LEs
chronomat 41 LE
cosmonoaute - stainless and blacksteel
transocean gmt
transocean unitime pilot blacksteel

And perhaps the most intersting was the navitimer boutique edition with the brown dial and two subdials. It seems to have disappeared from the website but it is an 01 movement with the date window at 6 oclock. Limited to 100 pieces and interstingly was only a little bit more expensive than the regular navitimer.
As expected, no discounts to be had - they provide "value adding" instead.

Quite an extensive bentley range, although there were maybe only 5 with in house movements.

It was also confirmed both by the watchmaker and by the folks at the service centre that blacksteel cannot be refinished, although I'm sure we all knew that. Once you get a scratch on it it's going to stay there forever!

I was also always wondering how they got the bracelets on at the factory without marking the inside of the lugs. Apparently they have a device which will simulateneously compress both ends of the springbar so that the end link can be dropped into place. The device is then released and the springbars extend straight into their holes. Now that is a device that i wouldn't mind getting my hands on!

All Sounds good.

Cabinets sound interesting too. I don't suppose there was a makers name on the system? Familiar with some that use proximity on the actual item for sale, such as gps & mobiles (cell phones).

Yes, I think black steel will become the bain of collectors. So nice but so difficult.

Value adding! I love new speak. I guess its swag or extended, whatever. Dear oh dear.

Went in today and predictably my phone battery died almost instantly. It's a great shop: loads of stock, really friendly staff, great ambiance. My personal faves were the frecce tricolori and patroule de France. The new sea wolf looked good and the 43 avengers looked good too. Got the try on a TOC38 and loved it. A couple of downsides: STILL no chronolog! (How long is it going to take?) And the E2 wasn't in yet (but no biggie there). All in all well worth a visit.

Such a shame they market that as a women's watch!

Totally agree. It looks perfect on Novacastrian's wrist.
I wonder how many more they would have sold if it was marketed as for both sexes.
