I'll stick up for it. I have only two black watches, as like nearly everyone here I am not a great fan of this finish. But, given the nature of these things, and the march of time to finding new avenues for raising a 'case option' and increasing sales whilst also meeting buyers expectations, I think it’s pretty good really. Probably been through a Customer Focus Salon, so you have to keep an open mind. I am not even put off by the Chronomat really (as I normally am), and I can't say that the bezel would be that hard to read either (perhaps in bad or low light). So, nothing really wrong here in my opinion.
Now, what would this finish be like if it were in 'polished light grey' with gold hands and batons and white face?

Anyone tempted?
