My Aerospace for a new movment, hands, case re-finish and waterproofing was $590 here in the USA. It now has the SQ movment but the older Aerospace RM clean grey dial.

What are your opinions on a callstilo i know its an older watch but it is more in my price range, or maybe a classic breitling from the 40s? I love the styling

It comes down to personal choice - what do you like?

Callisto is very small by today's standards, only 34.5mm, and many vintage pieces will be similar. You also have to consider that vintage pieces may be less suitable for daily use depending on the model and your lifestyle. There are a lot more fake vintage Breitlings than real ones so make sure you check in the vintage section before committing if you go that route.

My personal opinion would be first to choose a watch you really, really want. Then see how much it costs. If you can afford it now great go ahead and buy it, if not save until you can afford it. I don't think they would be anything worse than spending a fair amount of money on something and then realising it's not really what you wanted.

A Callisto would be fine on my wrist I think as I have a fairy small wrist even though im quite tall. The vintage watches I would obviously confirm with you guys before buying but some are absolutely gorgeous. To me it appears that the watches from the 40,s to 60,s are coming back. Im just nervous with this new purchase of the colt due to all the factors you guys are bringing up of that it may be un-serviceable one day. Once again thanks for all your help to all members you truly are an endless world of knowledge

Try it on to be sure. I have a 6.5 inch wrist, which is pretty small. I actually have a couple 34 - 35mm watches that I bought back when that was considered normal. They seemed fine at the time, but I really do find them to be too small now, such that I never wear them. Tastes do change.

If you keep your eyes open, you can grab a colt or a superocean for not much over a grand, even less if you dont mind going older.

Good question...I don't know. I was thinking more generally - if you can find a 35mm watch, try it on and see how it looks. It won't tell you whether or not you like the Callisto, specifically, but it can give you a pretty good idea of whether or not you like watches that size. If all else fails and you have to buy the watch blindly, make sure you have the option to return it if you don't like it.

Also, are you aware that the Callisto is quartz? Or are you considering the Chrono Callisto, which is manual mechanical?
