I'm not sure that I want the watch to say anything about me - it's back to the idea of why you buy the watch. My watches make me feel good, and that's it - if others interpret it as meaning more than that, then maybe it says more about them than me.

Yeah my watches don't say anything particular about me, other than I like nice watches. I only ever buy watches for me, and me alone. (I've even not mentioned owning a couple of them to my mates as they have no understanding of the pleasure I get from owning them, and it's sometimes easier to avoid the inevitable questions and quizical expressions!)
